ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਦੇ ਅਰਥਚਾਰੇ ਲਈ ਖਤਰਾ ਹੈ ਟਰੱਕ ਡਰਾਈਵਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਘਾਟ ਪ੍ਰਾਈਸਵਾਟਰਹਾਊਸਕੂਪਰਜ਼ ਫੌਰ ਫੂਡ, ਹੈਲਥ ਐਂਡ ਕੰਜਿ਼ਊਮਰ ਪ੍ਰੋਡਕਟਸ ਆਫ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ (ਐਫਐਚਸੀਪੀ) ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਪਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਟਰੱਕਿੰਗ ਇੰਡਸਟਰੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਸਪਲਾਈ ਚੇਨ ਦੀ ਨਿਰਭਰਤਾ ਬਣੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮੱਦੇਨਜ਼ਰ ਟਰੱਕਰਜ਼ ਦੀ ਘਾਟ ਨਾਲ ਅਰਥਚਾਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਖਤਰਾ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਐਫਐਚਸੀਪੀ ਦੇ ਵਾਈਸ ਪ੍ਰੈਜ਼ੀਡੈਂਟ ਆਫ ਇੰਡਸਟਰੀ ਅਫੇਅਰਜ਼ ਫਰੈਂਕ ਸਕਾਲੀ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਟਰੱਕ ਡਰਾਈਵਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਘਾਟ ਨਾਲ ਸਪਲਾਈ ਚੇਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਘਣ ਪਵੇਗਾ।ਮਹਾਂਮਾਰੀ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਇਹ ਸੰਕਟ ਥੋੜ੍ਹੀ ਦੇਰ ਲਈ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਕੁੱਝ ਡਰਾਈਵਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਕੰਮ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤੇ ਕੰਮਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੜਿੱਕਾ ਪੈਣ ਲੱਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਵਿੱਚ 20,000 ਟਰੱਕ ਡਰਾਈਵਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਘਾਟ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਡਰਾਈਵਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਤਿਹਾਈ ਰਿਟਾਇਰਮੈਂਟ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਹਨ। ਜੇ ਰਕਰੂਟਮੈਂਟ ਦਾ ਇਹੋ ਹਾਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਤਾਂ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਘਾਟ 30,000 ਤੱਕ ਅੱਪੜ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜੂਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਓਨਟਾਰੀਓ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਪਾੜੇ ਨੂੰ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ 6,100 ਟਰੱਕ ਡਰਾਈਵਰ ਪ੍ਰੋਵਿੰਸ ਭਰ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਆਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਟਰੱਕਿੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਉਮਰਦਰਾਜ਼ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਵਰਕਫੋਰਸ, ਡੈਮੌਗ੍ਰੈਫਿਕਸ ਤੇ ਡਰਾਈਵਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਭੱਤੇ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਕਾਰਕ ਹਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਾਰਨ ਇਹ ਘਾਟ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਵਿੱਚ
