The board of directors of the Toronto Transportation Club (TTC) is pleased to announce three new scholarships to be awarded in late 2022, bringing the total to seven awards for the 2022 – 2023 academic year. The Club has persevered through the pandemic with the generous support of its members, sponsors, and donors; donations in 2021 from Canadian Flatbeds Limited, Day & Ross Inc., and Premier Truck Group have allowed TTC to add the three new scholarships. Each of the seven recipients will be entitled to $8,000.00 over the course of four years.
Also new in 2021, corporate members in good standing may submit up to five applications from eligible employees.
This financial assistance is awarded to qualifying students entering post-secondary education.
Proceeds from our events are used to ensure that our Scholarship Fund can continue to deliver support to the students who need our help in realizing their dream of a higher education.
As a member of the TTC for one (1) calendar year, you are eligible to have your dependent child (including grandchildren, adopted children, stepchildren and wards in legal guardianship) apply for offered scholarships.
Scholarships are open to graduating students entering their first year of studies at an accredited university or community college and will be paid annually to a maximum of four years.
An independent adjudicator reviews all applications in confidence and grants the Scholarship Award accordingly. Applications are due by July 15, with supporting documents by August 15.
