It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Shawn Baird of Sharp Transportation Systems.
Shawn was involved in several key industry issues and community activities including being an important advocate in bringing attention to stopping Driver Inc.
Shawn’s family will receive relatives and friends from 4:00-7:00pm on Friday, December 16th, 2022 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Reception to be announced. As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Wellington would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).

Shawn Baird passed away on December 3, 2022 at Hospice Wellington at the age of 57.
Shawn was born in 1965 in Barrie, Ontario to his parents: Bob and Bette. He grew up in Shelbourne Ontario and started driving trucks in his late teens for Baird Moving Systems. He later moved to Kitchener. He built an empire as the president of Sharp Transportation Systems.
Predeceased by his wife Donna Baird (nee: Egerdee) (2015).
Loving Father of Cassandra Long.
Dear Brother of Mike (Michelle) Baird and Dean (Samantha) Baird.
Loving uncle of: Josh, Adam, Justin, Bradley, Joel, Patrick, Zachary and Brook.
Shawn will also be missed by many employees, friends and associates.
