RIP: Ronald Jack Bennett

The Ontario Trucking Association would like to extend its condolences to the friends and family of Jack Bennett, owner of Listowel Transport, J.E. Transport and BenLea Leasing.

A celebration of Jack’s life will be held at the Galt Country Club, 750 Coronation Blvd, Cambridge on Sunday, October 31, 2021 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Everyone attending must show proof of vaccination, and covid protocols must be followed.

Obituary:

Ronald Jack Bennett of Cambridge passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, October 17, 2021, in his 90th year.

Beloved husband of Pen Bennett. Dear father of Mary Ellen & Gary Koch of Gowanstown, and James & Lisa Bennett of West Montrose, and grandfather of Amy and Matthew Koch, and Jenna and Meghan Bennett. Brother of Ted Bennett & Gaye McMillan of Cambridge, Bonnie Skelding of Listowel, and Barbara & Jim Wilgar of Kitchener. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents Maurice & Isabel (Chamney) Bennett, sister-in-law Anne Bennett, and brother-in-law Bill Skelding.

Jack will be dearly missed in the trucking community, as he spent most of his working life in the industry. Throughout his career, he formed many successful relationships and left a lasting impact on everyone he worked with at Listowel Transport, J.E. Transport and BenLea Leasing.
