Hours Left Does Not Mean Safe to Drive

Just because you have hours remaining on your logbook does not mean it is safe for you to
drive. Fatigue cycles do not follow the hours of service rules exactly, and some people are
simply more tired at some times of the day than others which can make the logbook an
unreliable way of determining your level of alertness.
No one, including you, should be telling yourself to keep driving simply because you have time left in your logbook. If you are questioning whether or not you are alert enough to drive safely, then you are probably too tired to drive. Trust your gut and take a break. Your life may depend on it.
