There are 2 major Commercial Vehicle Inspection Alliance (CVSA) inspection events coming up this summer that drivers should be aware of: Operation Safe Driver Week and Brake Safety Week.
Operation Safe Driver Week is being held July 11-17, 2021. During this time, commercial vehicle enforcement officers will pay extra special attention to commercial vehicles and they will be focusing on speed-related violations.
Brake Safety Week is being held August 22-28, 2021. During this week, CVSA inspectors will be focusing on the brake systems of commercial vehicles. This is a week where your chances of getting a Level 1 inspection will be higher than normal, so keep your equipment in good shape and brush up on your pre-trip and post-trip skills.
