“One Mile At A Time”

Professional drivers keep moving regardless of conditions and keep their feet up so they don’t fall. On October 29 professional drivers Shelley Uvenile-Hesch and David Henry will discuss their experiences while on the road one mile at a time.
Life can change in seconds while transporting products throughout North America.
They will share how they respond to some of their own on the road experiences, how the physically and emotionally prepare for the road, cope while on the road and how they recharge when they arrive back home.
They will also share some of the struggles they have experienced based on traumatic events and how they have attempted to overcome these experiences. Some experiences never go away.

Linda Corkum will also be joining the webinar. Linda has worked with individuals who have suffered an injury and she understands the physical and psychological impact of an incident.
Linda also was the catalyst in introducing mental health training and education to the trucking industry in Nova Scotia through the Mental Health Commission of Canada.
Linda will provide some of the challenges faced by both workers and employers when it comes to one’s ability to return to work after an incident as well as some successes.
