It Takes Several Rights to Make a Left

We know that two wrongs don’t make a right; however, sometimes a couple of rights can make a left.

What we are talking about is considering different options when it comes to route planning.  Making a left turn across multiple lanes of traffic in an uncontrolled intersection can be a serious challenge in a big truck, especially when traffic is heavy.

When you have to navigate difficult intersections and are able to plan your route ahead of time, consider taking an alternate path.  For example, it may be a longer distance to go around the block to the right to be able to access a controlled intersection when you could take a left turn over multiple lanes.  However, it may be faster – and is likely also safer – to take easier-to-manage right turns until you can access a controlled entry point to the road you want to take.
