CVSA Roadcheck 2021

The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) will be doing a large international inspection blitz May 4-6, 2021.  During these days, expect a lot of extra attention from commercial vehicle law enforcement and a lot of random inspections.  While all violations will be documented, inspectors will be paying extra attention to driver hours of service and vehicle lighting.

There are some ways you can work to prepare for Roadcheck 2021.  If you are a company driver and can’t remember all of the details for a proper pre-trip inspection, start learning and practicing now.  If you are an owner-operator or fleet manager, consider doing annual safety inspections which are due in May in April instead so that greater attention is paid to your vehicle before the big blitz.

Commercial vehicle inspections are not a problem if your documents, logbook, and equipment are all in good order.  However, if the thought of extra attention at the scales is scary, figure out why you do not feel prepared and start getting ready now.
