ਜੀ ਹਾਂ! ਮੈਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਬੋਲ ਰਿਹੈਂ, ਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਰਾਮ-ਕਹਾਣੀ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਣਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ। ਪੁਰਾਤਨ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿਚ ਇਹ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਅੱਜ ਤੋਂ ਪੰਜ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਸਾਲ ਪੁਰਾਣੀ ਸਿੰਧ ਘਾਟੀ ਦੀ ਸੱਭਿਅਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ‘ਸਪਤ ਸਿੰਧੂ’ (ਸੱਤ ਦਰਿਆਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ) ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ‘ਹੜੱਪਾ’ ਤੇ ਮਹਿੰਜੋਦਾੜੋ’ ਦੀ ਹੋਈ ਖੁਦਾਈ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੀ ਇਸ ਸੱਭਿਅਤਾ ਦੇ ਨਕਸ਼ ਸਾਫ਼ ਤੇ ਉੱਘੜੇ ਹੋਏ਼ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਹੋਰ ਅੱਗੇ ਚੱਲੀਏ ਤਾਂ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਗਵਾਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੂਫ਼ਾਨ ਵਾਂਗ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੇ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਯੂਨਾਨ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਸਿਕੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ 325 ਬੀ[ਸੀ[ ਵਿਚ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਪੂਤ ਰਾਜੇ ਪੋਰਸ ਨੇ ਬੜੀ ਬਹਾਦਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਠੱਲ੍ਹਿਆ ਸੀ। ਸਿਕੰਦਰ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਹਾਰ ਜਾਣ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਵੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਿਕੰਦਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਸੁਆਲ “ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਕਿਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਸਲੂਕ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਏ” ਦਾ ਜੁਆਬ ਬੜੀ ਨਿੱਡਰਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਦਲੇਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ, “ਜਿਹੜਾ ਇਕ ਜੇਤੂ ਰਾਜਾ ਹਾਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਰਾਜੇ ਨਾਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ” ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਪੋਰਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਵਾਪਸ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਸੋਲ੍ਹਵੀਂ ਸਦੀ ਵਿਚ ਪੂਰੇ ਹਿੰਦੋਸਤਾਨ ਸਮੇਤ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਹਮਲੇ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਾਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੱਚੇ-ਸਪੂਤ ਗੁਰੂ ‘ਬਾਬੇ ਨਾਨਕ’ ਨੇ ‘ਜਾਬਰ’ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਤਕੜਾ ਉਲ੍ਹਾਮਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ: “ਖ਼ੁਰਾਸਾਨ ਖਸਮਾਨਾ ਕੀਆ ਹਿੰਦੋਸਤਾਨ ਡਰਾਇਆ। ਆਪੈ ਦੋਸੁ ਨਾ ਦੇਈ ਕਰਤਾ ਜਮ ਕਰਿ ਮੁਗਲ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਇਆ। ਏਤੀ ਮਾਰ ਪਈ ਕੁਰਲਾਣੇ ਤੈਂ ਕੀ ਦਰਦ ਨਾ ਆਇਆ।।”
