Despite the economic slowdown, the trade between U.S. and Canada has kept things moving. Trucking Industry takes the credit of moving US $ 34.1 Billion in freight across Canada-U.S. in November last year.
The figures were shared by the U.S. Bureau of Transportation.
Amongst the top three ports, Ontario and Michigan at Detroit had trading worth $10.2 billion while port Huron was accredited for $ 5.5 billion followed by Buffalo, New York crossing at $ 5.3 billion.
Another interesting fact being the products which were moved between the two countries. Computers worth $ 5.5 billion, vehicles and parts worth $4.5 billion and electrical machinery worth $ 2.3 billion became the top three products which were moved.
At the same time, cumulative North American transborder freight moved by all means of transportation amount to $ 125.8 billion followed by $ 63.8 billion between Canada and U.S. This figure is 3.3% more than November 2021 which points towards the positive side of trading activity even during the economic slowdown.
