The Importance of Stretching

Most people understand that regular stretching of one’s muscles is a healthy habit.  However, few people make a regular habit out of stretching.

Professional truck drivers spend a lot of time sitting in a single posture.  This type of lifestyle can lead to health concerns and some of these are musculoskeletal injuries.  A body that is not used to stretching is more prone to injuries from falls and other strains.

Stretching feels good; we often do some stretching when we stand up after sitting for a long time and when we are getting out of bed.  Adding some special upper and lower body stretches into your routine can really help you get going and also prevent possible injuries in the future.
