Getting Involved

Truckers can get involved in their industry outside of their normal job duties.  Sure, trucking is a demanding job with long hours, but there are options for those interested in seeing positive change in the industry.

Provinces and states typically have trucking industry associations that welcome the involvement of industry members.  While each organisation is different, most are concerned with promoting safety and elevating trucking.

If you have noticed things you don’t like about the trucking industry, you don’t have to keep them to yourself.  Contact the safety/trucking association nearest to where you operate and see what options they have for you to speak your mind.  Many of these organisations lobby the government and take feedback from drivers in the interests of creating positive change.  While change is slow, we all have the ability to influence where change takes us if we get involved.
