Fueled Up?  Pull Through

Here’s a quick tip for those new to the trucking industry that will keep you in good standing with your fellow drivers: pull through after fueling up.  When you’ve finished filling up at the fuel pumps of a truck stop, pull your rig ahead enough so that the next truck behind you can start fueling.

Acting this way is a sign of respect for your fellow trucker.  It also buys you a bit of time to organise paperwork and go inside for a receipt and possibly a quick bathroom break.  Everyone is in a hurry, so don’t make those behind you wait.

If you are planning on entering the truck stop for a long period of time for things such as showering, eating, or shopping, make sure you completely clear the fueling lanes by parking your rig properly.  It is very frustrating for other drivers when truckers take a long time running their errands while their trucks are blocked.
