Truckload Carriers Association and Carrier Edge Best Fleets to Drive for Contest has once again lauded the best practices and exemplary working environment provided by the trucking companies for their drivers and other employees in North America.
The top 20 winner companies have been shortlisted in various categories. The criteria for nominations for the Best Fleets Program included, recommendation of the companies operating 10 or more tractor trailers by one of their drivers or owner-operator.
The grading parameters for the evaluation of the fleets being; health benefits, performance management, total compensation, career path opportunities, and professional development.
This year, the names of the Canadian Carriers named in Top 20 Best Fleets to Drive For are

- Challenger Motor Freight Inc.-Cambridge, ON
- Erb Transport -New Hamburg, ON
- Fortigo Freight Services Inc.-Etobicoke, ON
- Kriska Holdings Limited-Prescott, On
- Wellington Group of Companies – Aberfoyle, ON
With an aim to take the contest to the next level, TCA and CarriersEdge added another category named, “Hall of Fame” and the eligibility criteria being “Best Fleet” award for 10 consecutive years or seven years as “Best Fleet” in addition to one overall award along with nomination in “Top 20” Best Fleets Program.
It is noteworthy that TransPro Freight Systems Ltd-Milton, ON was one of the proud recipients of New Hall of Fame. At the same time, Bison Transport Inc. -Winnipeg, MB made it in the nomination list for Hall of Fame.
So as to get authentic feedback directly from the employees, surveys were conducted wherein drivers and independent contractors shared their views.
