TORONTO, Ont. – The Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) has discharged points of interest on the Green Commercial Vehicle Program, including overwhelming appropriations for electric trucks.
The program will give: half of the incremental cost for another electric truck; 30% of the incremental cost for a gaseous petrol vehicle; 15% towards double fuel and change units; 30% towards APUs, and up to half for electric APUs; and 30% towards taxicab warmers and coolers.
“(Transport) Minister (Steve) Del Duca has by and by indicated initiative by reinvesting carbon expenses paid by our industry over into our division, with the goal that our industry can proceed on the way of natural headway in Ontario,” says Ontario Trucking Association president Stephen Laskowski. “OTA has been campaigning for the making of this store for more than two years. We are pleased to see the program turn into a reality.”
Discounts are retroactive to Sept. 1, 2017.
